Dear Nawal, Rami, Fadi, and Zahi,
Ahmad and I are so very saddened to hear of your family's loss of your dear husband, father, and grandfather, Said.
Allah yirhamoh. Words seem so inadequate to express sadness and support for you and your family at such a time. Having lost my own beloved father last year I know the loss is tremendous. And I know Nawal also lost several siblings last year as well. Allah yirhamhom.
Your father's talent as a career photographer was well known, but his many awards and important projects we are first learning of in this beautiful obituary. Thank you for giving us this opportunity to learn more about him. I now wish we had talked about it with him more.
I remember Said as a kind neighbor and dilligent walker whom we would see on our own daily walks through Langley Oaks where we would smile or nod to one another, a very pleasant person. I know that he will be missed by each and every member of his loving family. May he rest in peace and may God give you peace and strength in knowing that he lives on in your memories and in those of whom he touched in both large and small ways. One more bright star has been added to our universe.
Please accept our deepest condolences. We are currently in Australia and unable to attend his funeral service. We will return in February wherupon we will pay our condolences in person to Nawal.
