Penny was my moms best friend but more than that she was family. She always made everyone feel belonged. She is a light in this life. She gave us hope when we were in the dark. She makes you see the good in the world through her unconditional love and warmth. I remember one time when we were out together, someone asked her if she was our grandmother and she said yes. Because of her I am excited for every joy and pain that is to come. She will always be an important part of my life as well as many others. This life is better because of her.
