I am with a sad heart to hear Mrs. Donelan… Jerre… has passed on. I could talk for hours about what a kind and beautiful woman she was. Her son Kevin and I have been friends for over 50 years, and she was the most excepting parent of a child’s friend I have ever known. The Donelan’s was almost a second home to me, Jerre probably thought I lived there sometimes. She loved her family with all her heart a soul, and she loved all of us Deland Drive kids. Goodbye, sweet lady. My sincere heartfelt condolences to Kevin, Kathy, and all the family and friends.

My thoughts are with her wonderful family. In 1971, Jerre and Paul Donelan became more than just family, they welcomed us to Northern Virginia, sharing their home and such wonderful times together. How very lucky we were to have these two wonderful people in our lives. I still have beautiful Christmas decorations that Jerre made herself which I cherish.
