Mamduh Yasin Abutaa, 73, passed away peacefully on June 6, 2017.
He was born in Palestine to the late Yasin and Ayesha Abutaa. He was the second youngest of 6 brothers and 3 sisters.
Mamduh came to the United States at the young age of 23 where he lived with his brothers and sister in law in Silver Spring, Maryland.
He was in the army from 1967 to 1969 during the Vietnam War. He met his wife, Carmen, in 1971 at Montgomery College and they were married June 1, 1973.
Mamduh started working in the US as a busyboy the Wheaton Plaza Hot Shop and worked his way through many interesting careers along with earning his B.S. in accounting from Strayer University. He worked at National Geographic, the Metropolitan Club of Washington D.C., owned his own Middle Eastern Market (Caravan) and eventually retired from Riggs Bank.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Carmencita Hernandez Abutaa; daughter Ameerah Agnes Abutaa; beloved brothers Khalid and Ali Abutaa; sister Watha Abutaa and many nieces and nephews.
