I am just now learning of Gary's passing. We initially knew each other back in 1969 when we worked together at Dart Drug at Bailey's Crossroads in Annandale, VA. Our love of music brought us together as friends. I remember his favorite song back then was "Bridge Over Troubled Waters" by Simon and Garfunkel. Time passed, we went our separate ways and just last year found each other on the internet. I remember Gary as a soft spoken, extremely thoughtful guy. Deeply Christian, he offered support, advice and guidance to me at a difficult time. I will always remember and admire Gary. He was a great guy. I miss him.

I miss seeing Gary, my lovely neighbor, walking about our building. Being a true gentleman, Gary’s compassionate heart always had a kind word for everyone he met. I am deeply sorry for your great loss.

Bless your heart, Gary. You were always kind and friendly to me. It was a priviledge to have met you through Jill forever ago. You gave me courage and hope when we briefly worked togehter at the same awful place another forever ago. May you rest in peace.
