Marsha Pressly

Marsha (Gant) Pressly was born on December 5, 1955 at Freeman’s Hospital in Washington, DC to the late Oscar “Buddy Ghee” Jacobs and Odelia Jacobs. On Sunday May 3,2020 Marsha went on to glory surrounded by her loved ones. Marsha was raised in Arlington, Virginia, where she resided until she became ill and diagnosed with ALS in February 2019.

On September 17, 1994 she married the love of her life, her partner, and soulmate Stanford Lee Pressly Jr. They are reunited in heaven together again.

Marsha leaves to cherish her children: Tanya Gant, Shena Thomas (Keith) and Latonya Dade. Her Grandchildren: Jessica Juvennellia (Lamar), Sharron Gant, Gregory Porter Jr., Kayla Gant, Tanika Denny, Amory Gant, Roy Artist Jr., Carleton & Ne’Vaeh Preston, Linkynn Thomas. Great-GrandChildren: Elijah, Brooklynn, Brealynn, Cario, Aniyah, Kashten and Kh’yal. Her Siblings: Daune (Barbra), Twin Brother Marcellus (Cherene), Laverne & Lisa Gant. Half Siblings: Antone & Anthony Jacobs, Walter & Laverne Kenney, Earnest Shepard, Susan & Joe Hicks. One Niece: Notsha Gant, Nephews: Duan, Cleon, Deon, Octuan, Earnest Sr. (Carmen) and E’lon Gant. Niece & Nephew in Law: Patricia Hennighan & Anthony “Tony” Chapman.  Seventeen Great-Nieces & Nephews. One Great Great-niece, One Great Great Nephew. Devoted Friend Cathy Jackson-Palmer. Two Best Friend: Annette Johnson & Wanda Beale

Marsha Is preceded by her loving husband Stanford (Buzzard) Pressly, her biological father Joe Hicks Sr., her brother Stink Kenney and numerous aunts and uncles.
