Lloyd Gene Breece, Sr., 87, passed away of Friday, January 26, 2018 at home surrounded by his loving family. A memorial service will be held from 11:00 to 1:00 at Everly Funeral home in Falls Church, VA on Saturday, February 10. A lunch reception hosted by the family will follow at Pistone’s Italian Inn.
Lloyd was born and raised in Waynesville, NC; the son of Horace and Delia (Morgan) Breece; brother to Ada, Bob, Carl, Irene, and Juanita. He was a longtime resident of Maryland, and had been living in West Palm Beach, FL for the last 25 years.
In his earlier years, Lloyd served in United States Air Force.  He met his first wife and mother of his sons, Alice Gwendolyn King, in 1950 and they were married in 1951 in Riverdale, MD.  Mr. Breece had the opportunity to join the team at Smith's TV in Silver Spring and used that knowledge and experience to open his own television and electronics store called Lloyd's TV in Bladensburg, MD. He later worked as a Deputy Sheriff for Prince George's County, along with owning and operating his own electronic stores. He not only took pride in his business, but relished the friends that he made during his time in business. Mr. Breece had a passion for his work, his family and enjoyed dancing with his late wife Marie.
He leaves his son, David Breece; step-daughters Michelle Kinsley and Patricia Carames; grandchildren, Christopher, Erin and Jared Breece, Laura Lafianza and Julie Burton; and daughters in -law, Joan and Mary Ann Breece. He was preceded in death by his sons Mark and L. Gene Breece, Jr.; daughter in-law Norma Jean Breece, and grandson Clinton Wilkinson, and his wife of 28 years, Ellen Marie (Pender) Breece.
