John Nicholas Viglas

John Nicholas Viglas, 85, peacefully passed away on June 26, 2018. Born in Evrytania, Greece. The son of the late Nicholas and Spiridoula Viglas.

John worked hard in the restaurant business for over 40 years, he was a bartender, waiter, maître d’, and a restaurant owner.  He was known for his great personality, charming sense of humor, love of all people, and his endless compassion. He spent his retirement years enjoying life with his family and many friends.  

John is lovingly remembered by his wife, Helen Viglas, his daughter, Niki Viglas Kapelos and her husband, John, of Falls Church, VA. Along with his granddaughters, Eleni and Georgia Kapelos whom he adored with all his heart.

John was a member of Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church since 1970.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend the Funeral Service on Saturday, June 30, 2018 at 10AM at Saint Katherine’s Greek Orthodox Church, 3149 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA 22041.

The burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, 401 N. Roosevelt Street Falls Church, VA.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Saint Katherine Greek Orthodox Church in Falls Church, VA.
