Javier Antonio Iglesias

IN LOVING MEMORY

Javier Antonio Iglesias (Javi), 26 years old, passed away peacefully on Sunday, March 3, 2019 after suffering a brain aneurysm.   By his side was his life’s partner, llyana Carballo,  family, and friends.

Javi was born on July 13, 1992 into the large and nurturing Iglesias family. Mother, Orbelina, and grandmother, Juana, provided loving parental support while cousins and siblings Manuel, Ricardo, Alonso, Oscar, and Maria were always there to help guide and support him.

Javi graduated from Wakefield High school in 2010, and went on to receive his associates degree at Northern Virginia Community College.  

In September of 2015, Javi and llyana welcomed their daughter Juliette into the world; and, are expecting another child at the end of 2019.   His family grew even larger when he met his half-brother, Cristian, and biological father, Moises, this past year.  Javi was in the process of getting to know them, excited to build new memories and learn more about himself. Besides spending time with his family, Javi had found a new passion in the artistry of barbering. He was committed and invested 100% at Wisecuts Barber school, ready to pursue a career he was falling in love with.

He enjoyed listening to music, trying new foods, taking family vacations, attending family and friend gatherings, all the while also caring for his family and dogs Coco and Axel. 

Javi had a contagious laugh and a smile that could brighten up a room. He had an infectious, humorous and unique personality that brought laughs and smiles everywhere he went. He enjoyed sharing personal stories and current interests with anybody he got along with. He touched many lives and left lasting impressions with his passion for life and good vibes persona that was transmitted easily to anybody he met. 

Javi was a dedicated family man, father, brother, son , cousin and friend to all.  He is survived by his life partner Ilyana, 2 children of his own, mother and grandmother, father, brother, nephew and cousins. 

Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to Everly Funeral Home, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA. 22044. Viewing hours will be Sunday, March 10, 2019 between 3 and 9 PM.  Javi’s funeral service will be held at 10AM on Monday, March 11, 2019 at Everly Funeral Home, with interment at Columbia Gardens Cemetery, 3411 Arlington Blvd. Arlington, VA. 22201 immediately following the service.  Friends and family are invited to visit with Javi’s family and celebrate his life at Lyon Village Community House, 1920 N. Highland St., Arlington VA 22201immediately following.
