Brenda Lee Leith

Brenda Lee Hanback (Leith), to Irving J. Hanback and Lillian Frances Russell Hanback of Warrenton, VA on March 28,1939.

Born at home in a house built by her grandfather William J. Hanback, a well known builder In Fauquier Co., Va. She was so proud of her grandfather. Brenda spoke highly of her parents and grandparents, especially her two grandmothers who she loved so much: Annie Robinson Russell and Olive Hanback. Brenda couldn't say enough about her classmates from Marshall High school, sharing stories with family often. As a young adult Brenda first worked at Melpar in Falls Church, then was a homemaker, and went on to countless jobs to support her children including Kids R Us, Dart Drug, and Ames to name a few. Brenda loved art and making art; even selling some of her beautiful lady jewelry pins at art shows. Brenda was very religious, remaining true to her faith.

Brenda is preceded in death by her parents Irving J. Hanback Sr. and Lillian Frances Russell Hanback Curtis, her step parents Shirley A. Curtis and Margaret Arrington Hanback, her beloved brother whom she adored, Irving J. Hanback Jr., and half-sister, Gwendolyn (Dodie) Hanback Gregory whom she loved dearly. Brenda is survived by her daughter Christine Leith of Falls Church, son Darrell Leith and his wife Patty Leith of Stafford, her adored grandchildren Ryan Leith and Liberty (Libby) Leith, son Aaron Leith and his wife Nancy of Woodstock, Illinois, as well as many nieces and nephews. Brenda has always believed in helping others first before herself, always.

In lieu of flowers please do something kind for someone. Our mom would not have wanted it any other way. A private service will be held at a later date.
