On January 2, 2017, Patricia L. Scheidemandel, age 87, of Falls Church, VA, passed away peacefully of heart failure.  Born on January 29, 1929 in Oakland, California, to the late John and Lorraine Faneuf Libby, she lived in several areas throughout her life including Spokane, Salt Lake City, Panama, and in the Washington Metropolitan area.  Patricia worked for the NSA, State Department and the American Psychiatric Association. 
 
She is survived by her beloved husband Dr. Heinz Scheidemandel and loving children Eric Scheidemandel and Inga Neubert as well as 6 grandchildren.
 
Family will receive friends on Friday, January 6th from 12pm to 4pm at the Everly Community Funeral Care, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA 22044.  A Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday at 10AM at St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Rd., Falls Church, VA 22041.  Burial will follow in Columbia Gardens Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made in Patricia's memory to St. Anthony of Padua Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn rd., Falls Church, VA 22041.
