Mark Louis Herndon was born on December 25, 1957 the youngest of seven children to the proud parents Harvey Henry Herndon Jr.-Deceased- and Mary Elizabeth (Jones) Herndon -Deceased- His siblings are Eldest - Henry Russel, (Deceased), David Franklin, Douglas Lee, (Deceased), Sharon Ann, Harvey Rodger, Rodney "Dexter", (Deceased). Mark's life started as a news worth event as he was the First child born in Arlington Hospital, Arlington VA on Christmas Day that year. In Marks youth he was a very Happy and energetic child always into something and always looking for a laugh. As Mark grew up he took an interest in and enjoyed a very ecclectic make up of hobbies and activities from gynastics, dance to automobiles and demolition derbys through unicycle riding and just being a clown. As MArk developed into adulthood he became an avid water skiier and pursued his love of tinkering by becoming an a small engine and auto body mechanic combining his eye for detail and his love of cars. Mark enjoyed riding motorcycles and mini bikes from a very young age and took numerous trips up and down the coast with friends and family riding his bike in a number of runs and rallys. Mark had a wonderful group of old and new friends and family that loved him through his different walks in life that he loved also. His journey through life was amazing. Most people only dream to do all the things he did and could do. Mark discovered he had throat cancer in 2013. Mark went through the chemo and radiation treatments and was considered cancer free; however, a different form of cancer returned in September 2016 and was more aggressive and spread throughout his body. Mark took his journey to be with God, family and friends on June 30, 2017. Mark is survived by one daughter, Marcia Farley and many other relatives.
