Julie A. Kiley, 64, of Alexandria, VA passed away on Saturday, February 25, 2017 at Alexandria Hospital. Ms. Kiley was a lifelong resident of the Dowden Terrace community and graduated from Stuart High School and Marymount University with a B.A. in Education. After graduation, Ms. Kiley began working as a professional educator for the Fairfax County Public Schools until her retirement from Fort Belvoir Elementary School in June 2016. She was a devoted teacher, who was vested in the success of her students. Ms. Kiley was an active member of St. Anthony Catholic Church where she volunteered teaching Sunday school. She was a member of Chapter Y PEO in the District of Columbia and was active in the Little Theatre of Alexandria. Ms. Kiley enjoyed painting, reading and theatre, frequenting performances at the Kennedy Center. Ms. Kiley was predeceased by her parents, John and Vivian Kiley. Although an only child, loving cousins surrounded her throughout her life and were with her when she passed. A visitation will be held on Wednesday, March 1, 2017 from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. at Everly Community Funeral Care, 6161 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA. A Funeral Mass will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. at St. Anthony Catholic Church, 3305 Glen Carlyn Road, Falls Church, VA. Burial will follow at Fairfax Memorial Park, Fairfax, VA.
