On Friday, August 18, 2017 Eleanor R. Thie passed away suddenly at home. Born on October 12, 1934 in Patterson, NJ to the late Harold & Loretta Leswing, she was predeceased by her beloved husband Donald B. Thie in December 2016. Eleanor is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Mitchell) Foreman and son Kevin (Janet) Thie as well as his grandchildren Matthew (Taire) Thie and Candace Thie and great-grandchildren Nathen and Melody Thie. Eleanor is also survived by her sister Joan Pruiksma and nephews Gregory and David Pruiksma and niece Darlene (Louis) Fabrizi.

Family will receive friends on Saturday, September 9, 2017 from 11:00am to 12:30pm at the Church of Christ in Falls Church, 6149 Leesburg Pike, Falls Church, VA where a funeral service will be at 12:30pm. Burial will take place immediately following at National Memorial Park.
